Function and objective of the position:
Produces/ packs all applicable products using specification sheets, verbal and handwritten instructions.

Essential duties and responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for supporting the day to day operation, output, Quality and performance of the relevant production / packing line
  • Operate and monitor the production activities and equipment uptime and target outputs, where applicable
  • Responsible for supporting all batch documentation and cGMP of each production run
  • Responsible for all batch documentation and cGMP of each packing run
  • Support effectively in reviewing and implementing accurate Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Report variance or deviation from Standard Operating Procedures to Supervisor
  • Maintains production / packing line areas in a clean and orderly manner at all times
  • Complies with all Safety related procedures
  • Responsible for the timely set up of packing lines ensuring full line clearance

Additional duties and responsibilities:    

  • Actively participate in Lean programs with a focus on line efficiency and waste reduction
  • Regular housekeeping/ cleaning duties
  • Other duties as requested by Manager/Supervisor

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated reliability.
  • Must be capable of working individually or in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility is an advantage
