Production Manager

to join our SuperBattery-team in Varkaus.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at Skeleton’s SuperBattery site in Varkaus. In this role, you will ensure that our factory can produce SuperBattery and SuperCapacitor electrodes and cells efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will supervise the production team, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Varkaus factory can produce SuperBattery and SuperCapacitor electrodes and cells according to targets.
  • Supervise and lead the Production team to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure deliveries meet quality requirements and deadlines.
  • Report on the performance of manufacturing operations.
  • Oversee machine preparation, cleaning, and maintenance by your team.
  • Ensure manufacturing resources (tools, materials, personnel) are sufficient and properly allocated.
  • Plan maintenance and repairs together with the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all machines (e.g., standard work instructions).
  • Document all trial and production runs accurately.
  • Provide manufacturing feedback to development teams to improve product manufacturability.
  • Work with quality teams to improve product and process performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager or similar role
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across a wide range of tasks within the position.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Finnish and English.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes and manage workload under pressure.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Willingness and ability to learn continuously.
