DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead and develop our operations at our Querétaro site. This role is responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring operational performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the long-term development of the site. The Production Manager will work closely with the Global Production Manager and the Operations Manager for America to ensure alignment with global operational standards.

This position requires a strong hands-on leader capable of managing teams in a fast-growing and highly manual production environment, establishing processes where needed, and supporting the site through a period of significant expansion and organizational transformation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Management

• Lead and manage production teams, ensuring clear communication, goal-setting, and active performance monitoring.

• Provide coaching, development opportunities, and constructive feedback to team members.

• Address employee issues and concerns in a timely and structured manner.

Production & Plant Management

• Ensure production schedules are aligned with facility capacity, customer requirements, and operational goals.

• Oversee materials replenishment, quality standards, documentation processes, and financial planning associated with production.

• Create, maintain, and review operational procedures to support site performance and compliance.

Development & Continuous Improvement

• Drive the improvement and standardization of existing processes while establishing new procedures where needed.

• Analyze performance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities across all production areas.

• Implement lean practices and operational excellence tools to improve productivity, safety, and quality.

Procurement & Logistics Support

• Collaborate with the procurement team on new program demands and market opportunities.

• Monitor and support import/export processes to ensure timely delivery.

• Standardize storage methods and support inventory control.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Participate in discussions on new projects and transition activities.

• Support global teams to ensure production deliverables are met.

• Coordinate with display teams for workshop preparation.

• Engage in networking activities to identify new potential customers when relevant.

• Support facility maintenance and operational readiness.

Key Measures & Success Indicators

1. On-time delivery performance and number of delivered programs per year.

2. Quality feedback from internal teams and customers.

3. Achievement of team goals and operational targets per semester.

Requirements

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a multicultural environment.

• 10+ years of experience as a Coordinator, Supervisor, or Manager (automotive experience strongly preferred).

• Strong working knowledge of lean methodologies (5S, SMED, Kaizen).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong leadership and ability to manage large teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (French is a plus).

• Strong analytical ability and capability to support cross-functional discussions.

• Effective multitasking and time management.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate teams.

• Attention to detail and awareness of safety standards and regulations.

• In-depth knowledge of production operations and plant management.

• Strong problem-solving abilities
