The Production Lead Associate coordinates activities and provides coaching to the production line team, working alongside them to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to all safety, GMP, and SQF policies. This role provides essential guidance to ensure the team meets production goals while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, coach, and guide production line workers to maintain workflow and maximum productivity.
- Work alongside the team, stepping in to perform production duties as needed.
- Enforce all safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies, and PPE/hygiene standards.
- Track line count, update production numbers in the computer system, and report any defective materials or questionable conditions.
- Train new employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coach the team on company policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Age: Must be at least 18 years old.

Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Math Skills: Must possess basic mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions) for line count and production updates.

Computer Skills: Must be able to use a computer for data entry and updating production numbers.

Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work the entire scheduled shift, including required overtime.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours.

Lifting: Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (with or without assistance).

Work Environment: The role is in a loud manufacturing and assembly environment, with regular exposure to cool and/or cold temperatures (10º - 40ºF), fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.
