Production Associate
Pay: $22.88/hr. - plus shift premium (Rotating Shifts)
JOB SUMMARY:
Working in the Press department, this associate operates the plate lift, separates pressed laminate and stacks material. Works under the direction of Press Operators/Foreman.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Retrieves and inspects component material, plates, and laminate.
• As part of a two person team, lays up the component material and lays off completed laminate according to the production process.
• Initiates corrective action if production operations are not standard.
• Logs production information such as: material produced, type, size, run, control settings, rejects, etc.
• Performs lock-out/tag-out procedures and preventative maintenance checks and follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Participates in the Wilsonart Continuous Improvement system and complies with all quality standards.
• Perform other position duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to work in a safe manner following company guidelines and procedures.
• Knowledge of computers, sufficient to enter data into system.
• Ability to identify patterns and finishes and follow quality specs.
• Ability to operate a lift truck.
• Skill in hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Graduate/GED or combination of equivalent education and work history.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
