As a Product Specialist at Mediplast, you will have an independent role with a high level of responsibility, driving sales of an exciting and highly specialized product portfolio for orthopaedic surgical departments – including implants and technical equipment for spine, rib, and hip. In addition, you will have sales responsibility for a smaller, but highly specialized product portfolio within selected therapeutic areas in Western Denmark. You work flexibly from a home office, cover all of Denmark, and travel regularly to meet customers in hospital operating departments, procurement/tender units, and medical technical departments.
Areas of responsibility
Plan, execute, and drive sales: Hold primary responsibility for planning, implementing, and carrying out sales initiatives as well as relevant marketing activities within your product areas across the country.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships: Establish, develop, and nurture long-term, professional relationships with customers and act as their preferred business partner.
Clinical support and product expertise: Ensure a high level of professional advisory services and clinical support to users and decision-makers, including participation in product introductions, training, and follow-up.
Customer visits and networking: Conduct regular customer visits to operating departments, procurement/tender units, and medical technical departments to understand needs, present solutions, and follow up on ongoing projects.
Tender and bid management: Participate actively in the regional tender processes as a key member of the team – gathering insight on the market and competitors, ensuring that customers are familiar with the products before the tender is issued, and contributing market insight and product expertise to competitive bids.
We are looking for a candidate with solid experience in sales of medical technical equipment – preferably as a Product Specialist, Product Manager, or Key Account Manager. Experience with selling technical equipment and implants to hospitals is a strong advantage. You are business-oriented, results-driven, and thrive on taking ownership of your own portfolio.
Ideally, you:
Have at least 3–5 years of experience selling technical equipment and implants to hospitals.
Have broad knowledge of the structure of the Danish healthcare system and hospitals.
Live in a central location in Denmark, enabling you to cover the entire country effectively.
Speak and write Danish fluently and are able to understand and communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Thrive in a home-office setup, combined with 10–30 travel days per year with overnight stays.
Appreciate working in a small local team that collaborates closely with colleagues across the Nordics – while also being motivated by your own independent sales projects.
Are analytically strong, persistent, and professional in your approach to both customers and colleagues.
Hold a valid driver’s license for passenger cars (a requirement).
At Mediplast, we place great emphasis on your contribution to a healthy and inclusive culture characterized by collaboration, respect, helpfulness, and a strong sense of personal responsibility – always with the patient, clinical quality, and the everyday work of healthcare professionals at the center
