Product Solution Architect (all gender)

AI overview

Collaborate with Product and Engineering to transform customer needs into scalable platform capabilities, while shaping product evolution through smart architectural decisions.

Distribusion is the world’s leading ground transportation marketplace and gives travelers seamless access to ground transportation online, from search to ticket purchase. We have built a cutting-edge B2B technology platform that connects bus, rail, and ferry operators in 70+ countries with the biggest online retailers, including Google and Booking.com.

We are shaping the future of travel and building the largest global network of transport providers and retailers. Having grown 10x in the past year, we are one of the fastest-growing startups in travel. Backed by four leading VCs (TQ Ventures, Creandum, Northzone, and Lightrock), and now, following our recent $80 m Series C, we are ready to push beyond.

We’re looking for a product-centric Solution Architect who partners with Product and Engineering to turn customer needs into scalable platform capabilities. You shape how the product evolves by making architectural decisions that enable fast delivery, long-term scale, and real value for partners and end users.

What you will do:

  • Tackle real customer and partner problems and turn them into product capabilities used at global scale

  • Shape what we build next by making smart architectural calls and pragmatic trade-offs

  • Own systems end to end — from idea to production — and help the product ship fast and scale hard

  • Design APIs, services, and data flows that power high-impact product experiences

  • Break down complex systems so teams move faster and make better decisions

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn ideas into things real users rely on

  • Be the technical voice of the product in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment

  • Influence through strong ideas, clear thinking, and hands-on contribution

  • Level up the platform by fixing bottlenecks, improving scalability, and paying down the right tech debt

Workplace: Berlin & Hybrid

The preferred location for this role is Berlin at our HQ.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking — comfortable designing systems with competing constraints and unknowns

  • Proven ability to reason about distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns, and high-load architectures.

  • A STEM background (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics) or equivalent technical depth — being solution-oriented by nature.

  • Understanding of modern system architecture principles, including scalability, reliability, performance, and observability.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, data flows, and how distributed systems interact at scale.

  • Ability to read and reason about technical designs; coding ability is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience with cloud services, microservices, event-driven systems, or high-volume operations is advantageous.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English and experience leading remote or in-person partner sessions.

What you can expect:

  • You will join a fast-paced travel tech company and take on a rapidly growing industry.

  • You will take on ownership and responsibility from day one and directly impact the company's success.

  • We value agility! We’re constantly updating our tech stack and offer the best possible tools to ensure all of our in-house engineers, partners, and carriers benefit from cutting-edge, efficient solutions.

  • You will work with global companies. Our product attracts the biggest names in travel technology, such as Booking.com and Google Maps, and national carriers like Amtrak, Deutsche Bahn, Renfe, and SNCF.

  • You will join an international team of talented and driven people with a clear mission. Expect your colleagues to inspire, support and challenge you every day!

  • We offer flexible and remote working conditions, relocation opportunities and career growth in a small and developing company.
