The role

The purpose of this role is to support AP+’s Product function by analysing how product-related work is performed end-to-end, identifying risks, inefficiencies and opportunities, and recommending practical improvements that strengthen governance, consistency and delivery outcomes. The role partners with stakeholders to document and improve processes, embed fit-for-purpose methods and tools, and use data-driven insights to help the Product team operate more effectively and continuously improve.

What you will do

  • Investigate product practice situations with some complexity/ambiguity to identify problems, opportunities and root causes.
  • Analyse existing product practice processes end-to-end and recommend improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, quality and control.
  • Develop and maintain clear product framework practices and proceedures documentation (e.g., maps, procedures, standards, work instructions) in line with agreed practices.
  • Identify and assess product framework process risks and contribute to improvement recommendations and mitigation actions.
  • Support the adoption and effective use of product methods and tools; provide guidance to stakeholders on standards, policies and best practice.
  • Tailor product processes to meet practical team needs while ensuring alignment to established standards and governance requirements.
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to generate insights, track outcomes, and support evidence-based decisions on process changes.
  • Assist with implementing improvements, including change communication, training/support materials, and monitoring early effectiveness.
  • Review and continuously improve how methods/tools are applied, proposing refinements based on lessons learned and performance outcomes.
  • Engage collaboratively with stakeholders (under direction where required) to gather requirements, validate findings, and drive alignment on improvements

What you bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, finance, IT, data/analytics, operations, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications in process improvement or analysis (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, BPMN) are advantageous.
  • Experience analysing and improving framework processes/proceedures within product, technology or operations environments, translating findings into practical improvements.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience to gather requirements, document processes, and support adoption of improved ways of working, methods and tools.
  • Working knowledge of process analysis and improvement techniques (e.g., process mapping, root cause analysis, controls/hand-offs) and basic risk concepts.
  • Practical knowledge of data analysis and reporting to generate insights, define data requirements, and measure the effectiveness of process changes
