Product Owner

Optimile is a leading software company specializing in digital solutions for the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry. Our innovative platforms empower Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver seamless and efficient EV charging experiences. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a driven and experienced Product Owner to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our solutions are conform market expectations, functional, user-friendly, and aligned with our strategic product vision.

Your Role

As a Product Owner, you will take ownership of your product portfolio. Driving value from concept to go-live and beyond. You’ll combine a strong technical understanding with a sharp product mindset to translate customer and market needs into actionable product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for your software and charging portfolio: from discovery and roadmap definition to go-to-market and phase-out.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, functional analysts, QA testers, and other stakeholders to define clear priorities and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Translate technical and business insights into tangible product value. Balancing market needs with technical feasibility.
• Act as the bridge between technology and business, representing both the Voice of the Customer and the Voice of the Technology in agile ceremonies and product decisions.
• Stay on top of market and technology trends, understanding the evolving landscape of EV protocols, roaming, and charging standards.
• Validate development output throughout the process to ensure alignment with specifications, quality standards, and roadmap goals.
• Leverage data and metrics to assess product performance and guide decisions that enhance value, adoption, and usability.
• Contribute to discovery phases by building business cases and running POCs/MVPs to validate new opportunities.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner with a technical foundation, or as a Functional Analyst / Solution Architect with proven end-to-end delivery experience in SaaS or complex software environments.
• A strong technical mindset, with the ability to understand APIs, integration patterns, and data models.
• A critical problem-solver who can identify dependencies between features and enablers, challenge assumptions, and propose viable solutions.
• A clear and confident communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• A data-driven decision-maker who leverages both qualitative and quantitative insights.
• A team player with strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive, quality-focused approach.
• Fluency in English (required); proficiency in Dutch is a strong asset.
