Product Owner, Core Banking (Loans)

Our comprehensive product suite spans Core Banking platforms and digital engagement solutions, enabling banks and financial institutions to deliver modern, scalable, and compliant services. In partnership with Piraeus Bank, we are also developing Snappi, Greece’s first digital-only bank.

We are seeking a Product Owner - Loans to join our growing Core Banking Products team. In this role, you will own and drive the evolution of our Loans domain, covering retail and/or corporate lending products across their full lifecycle — from ideation and design to delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

The role reports to the Principal Products Manager - Core Banking and works closely with development teams, architects, QA, business experts, compliance, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and market-relevant lending capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Groom, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, maximizing value delivery and balancing short-term client needs with long-term platform scalability. 
• Translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria—ensuring they are well-analyzed, feasible, and implementation-ready before development starts. 
• Work closely with development teams during sprints, clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguities, and addressing delivery challenges. 
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. consumer credit, IFRS-related requirements, reporting obligations). 
• Coordinate demos, UAT, pilot programs, and go-live readiness, incorporating client feedback loops throughout. 
• Monitor product performance and quality post-implementation, supporting maintenance, enhancements, and continuous improvement. 
• Act as the subject-matter reference for the Loans domain across internal teams and client engagements. 

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Business/Product role in a fintech, banking, or core banking environment. 

• Strong domain knowledge of lending products and loan servicing processes within a Core Banking context. 

• Demonstrated experience managing products across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and post-go-live support. 

• Solid understanding of banking operations, customer journeys, and industry trends related to loans and credit products. 

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and backlog management practices. 

• Comfortable working with technical concepts such as APIs, integrations, data models, and UX flows. Hands-on technical background is a plus. 

• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Proficient in both Greek & English (written and spoken).
