Product Owner - Automation

Let's start with the role 

As a Product Owner (Automation), you will be a versatile and results-driven member of our established Automation team. This role requires a strong ability to understand business needs, analyze technical requirements, facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, and drive process automations development in alignment with business objectives.

As a Product Owner (Automation), you will be responsible for:

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis: 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for new process automation initiatives
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and non-functional specifications. 
• Create , maintain, and continuously refine comprehensive product documentation

• Backlog Management & Planning: 
• Contribute to backlog management, ensuring high-priority features are reflected
• Participate in planning meetings, guiding the team in delivering priority items
• Release Planning & Expectations Setting: 
• Work with the Automation Manager to plan product releases and manage delivery expectations. 
• Make informed decisions on trade-offs and and priorities throughout the development lifecycle
• Automations Development: 
• Work with the development team to set realistic expectations for delivery timelines
• Identify and mitigate impediments and risks, and ensure timely and quality delivery of automation solutions
• Stakeholder Liaison & Feedback: 
• Act as the primary point of contact  between the development team and stakeholders 
• Define acceptance criteria and collaborate with the team during QA to ensure that the product meets the specified requirements and standards.
• Monitoring & Reporting: 
• Monitor and report team and production KPIs 
• Contribute to the POs Chapter and cross-company alignment initiatives

• Agile/Scrum Practices: 
• Support the team using agile best practices and defined processes/tools.
• Collaborate with the Automation Manager and business stakeholders to maintain a prioritized backlog.

• Continuous Improvement: 
• Gather feedback from stakeholders and team members to drive iterative product improvement. 
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies to enhance product development.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, consultant, or developer in development projects in a technological environment.
• Effective collaboration with technical and non-technical team members and business partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
• Proven capability to manage priorities and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with Automation Platforms (Power Platform, UiPath) will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with the use of Jira, Grafana, and Gsheet will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with online sports betting and casino products is an asset.
• Good understanding of technology, programming languages, and software architecture is advantageous.
