Product Marketing Manager

TLDR

Own the go-to-market strategy for an innovative AI platform in life sciences, working closely with Sales and Product to sharpen messaging and enable sales success.

About Manifold

At Manifold, we are rebuilding how life sciences organizations work in the age of AI.

Life sciences is a $2 trillion industry where productivity directly impacts patient outcomes. Yet despite major advances in biology, data generation, and AI, progress has slowed. Critical scientific questions are still blocked by fragmented data, brittle infrastructure, and workflows that were never designed for secure collaboration or AI-driven analysis.

Manifold is the AI platform for life sciences, purpose-built to close this gap. We believe vertical AI is the next platform shift, and life sciences requires a domain-specific approach. Manifold combines agentic AI, deep life sciences context, and enterprise-grade governance to help teams move from scientific question to insight faster, so life-changing medicines reach patients sooner.

Manifold is used by leading organizations across industry and academia, including Foundation Medicine, the Broad Institute, and the University of Virginia. The platform supports tens of thousands of users across hundreds of organizations globally. Manifold is backed by Reach Capital, TQ Ventures, Calibrate Ventures, SilverArc Capital, and Industry Ventures, with $40M raised to date.

Our Culture

At Manifold, we value intellectual rigor, humility, and mission-driven collaboration. We believe that technology is only as powerful as the people behind it, and we’re building a culture that supports growth, inclusion, and curiosity. We work fast, think deeply, and strive to make a lasting impact on patients' lives.

About the Role

Manifold is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own how we bring our platform to market — from ICP definition and messaging to sales enablement and pipeline activation.

This is a founding PMM role. You'll be the first dedicated product marketer at Manifold, working at the intersection of market intelligence, narrative development, and GTM execution. You'll work closely with Sales, Product, and Leadership to ensure we're talking to the right buyers, with the right message, through the right channels — and that the sales team has everything it needs to have great conversations.

We've made a deliberate shift to an account-based GTM motion — Tier 1 named accounts with high human touch, Tier 2 programmatic for the broader universe. At this stage, what moves pipeline isn't more leads — it's sharper narrative, better sales enablement, and tighter ICP clarity. This role is the linchpin of that motion.

This role is ideal for someone with deep life sciences domain knowledge who can translate complex platform capabilities into sharp, buyer-centric narratives and operationalize them across a lean, high-velocity GTM team.

What You’ll Do

  • Own ICP definition and buyer research across Manifold's priority segments — including customer and prospect interviews, persona development, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and maintain core messaging and positioning that clearly articulates Manifold's value for each segment and buyer type.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement assets — pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, objection handling guides — that help AEs and SDRs have better conversations.
  • Partner closely with Sales to listen, iterate, and ensure messaging is landing in the field.
  • Lead go-to-market execution for new product capabilities and segment expansions, including website updates, launch content, and internal enablement.
  • Develop thought leadership content and campaign narratives that support pipeline generation across email, LinkedIn, events, and partner channels.
  • Track how messaging and enablement assets are performing and iterate quickly based on sales feedback and engagement data.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–8+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with a clear major in product marketing.
  • Life sciences domain knowledge — you understand the space, the buyers, and the language. This is table stakes.
  • Proven ability to conduct customer and market research and turn insights into sharp positioning and messaging.
  • Strong sales partnership instincts — you know how to build trust with AEs and SDRs and make their lives easier.
  • Enough demand gen fluency to contribute to campaign strategy and content without needing to own it day-to-day.
  • High-agency operator who can lead initiatives end to end in a scrappy, fast-moving environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action over perfection.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and what it means for the future of life sciences GTM.

Location:

  • Boston, MA (Hybrid, Newton office, 2–3 days/week)

What We Offer

  • Fully supported hybrid work
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision plans
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Commuter benefits (Newton, MA office)

About the Team

  • We are a team of proven startup operators with a track record of building successful technology companies
  • Deep subject matter experts in oncology, clinical practice, precision medicine, enterprise SaaS, and healthcare technology
  • We're a startup—some things are unstructured, and that’s part of the opportunity
  • We're looking for mission-driven builders to help us create the next best AI powered platform in life sciences
