The Challenge:

This Product Marketer contractor directly advances Esusu’s vision to build an inclusive financial system by helping ensure our products are clearly positioned, effectively launched, and understood by the customers who need them most. As our portfolio grows across Rent Reporting, Identity Services, and Esusu Pay, this role will support the articulation of differentiated value propositions, connect product capabilities to real-world outcomes for renters and partners, and contribute to the commercial motions that turn our mission into scalable, sustainable impact.

What will you help deliver:

  • Clear, compelling positioning and messaging for key Esusu products and features, tailored to priority segments (e.g., real estate partners, financial institutions, employers, and renters).
  • GTM plans and launch playbooks for new products, features, and campaigns, including objectives, target audiences, key messages, channels, and success metrics.
  • Sales and customer-facing enablement materials such as one-pagers, pitch decks, product overviews, FAQs, and talk tracks that help teams sell and support with confidence.
  • Market and competitive insights synthesized into concise summaries that inform product strategy, pricing/packaging discussions, and messaging.
  • Partner collaboration with Lifecycle, Content, and Demand Generation to ensure product narratives are reflected consistently across web, email, campaigns, and in-product surfaces where relevant.
  • Simple performance views and feedback loops for launches and GTM motions (e.g., win/loss insights, asset usage, and basic funnel metrics) to inform iteration and improvement.
  • Structured documentation of product narratives, use cases, and value props in shared sources of truth so cross-functional teams stay aligned.

Qualifications:

  • 4–6+ years of experience in product marketing or a closely related role (e.g., solutions marketing, GTM, or strategic marketing) within B2B SaaS, fintech, or other complex, multi-stakeholder products.
  • Strong track record of partnering with Product, Sales, and Marketing to plan and execute launches or GTM motions from brief through measurement.
  • Proven ability to craft clear, differentiated positioning and messaging, including translating technical features into customer value and outcomes.
  • Experience creating sales enablement content and collaborating directly with revenue teams to understand objections, refine narratives, and support deal cycles.
  • Comfortable working with data and qualitative feedback to inform narratives—e.g., pulling basic metrics, reviewing CRM or win/loss notes, and synthesizing insights.
  • High degree of ownership and organization, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, remote environment as a contractor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in credit, lending, housing, or broader financial services—especially products that balance impact, compliance, and commercial goals.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot/Salesforce (or similar CRM/marketing platforms), product analytics, and collaboration tools like Figma and Jira.
  • Background working with or within globally distributed teams, including overlapping some hours with US Eastern Time.

Above and Beyond:

  • You’ve owned end-to-end GTM for a product or major feature, from defining the narrative and launch plan to enabling sales and learning from post-launch performance.
  • You are comfortable interviewing customers, internal experts, and cross-functional partners and turning those insights into crisp messaging, use cases, and proof points.
  • You bring a structured, framework-driven approach to product marketing (e.g., ICPs, personas, JTBD, value prop canvases) but can also move quickly and pragmatically when needed.
  • You think in systems and playbooks—creating templates, processes, and reusable artifacts that make future launches easier and faster.
  • You care deeply about financial inclusion and can thoughtfully communicate around sensitive topics like credit, housing stability, and economic mobility in a human-centered way.
