At Marshalls, we don’t just create products, we shape landscapes, streetscapes, and public spaces that stand the test of time. In fact, we’ve paved every street on the Monopoly board, reinforcing our status as the UK’s leading provider of innovative landscaping solutions.

Now, we’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to help us continue that legacy by driving innovation and growth in our performance products category for Marshalls Landscapes.

This role is all about market insight, customer-driven innovation and proposition development and promotion. You’ll have your finger on the pulse of industry trends, identifying new product opportunities and evolving our range proposition to meet the evolving needs of our customers. From analysing trends, market demand to shaping future product strategy, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in a market-leading business.

So, what’s the mission?
The Product Manager role will be responsible for the Marshalls Street Furniture & Perimeter Protection category, covering both design-led street furniture and functional perimeter protection products that integrate seamlessly into urban landscape design.
Reporting to the Product Portfolio Lead you'll analyse market intelligence, customer insights, and emerging industry trends to shape the future of our performance products category. Understanding market needs and trends is at the heart of this role. You'll ensure Marshalls stays ahead of the curve. Your ability to identify new product opportunities and translate insights into actionable strategies will be key to maintaining our market-leading position.

The product portfolio comprises an extensive range of bollards and planters, available in both crash-tested and non-crash-tested options, providing comprehensive solutions that enhance urban environments while balancing public safety with strong aesthetic appeal.

The role will also involve managing a selection of specialist, performance-led products targeted at more specialised commercial sectors, including Active Travel and new emerging technologies, as part of the New Product Development process.

Strong collaboration across the business is essential. You'll partner with others to ensure product quality, and drive new product development. Supporting sales and marketing, you'll provide data-driven insights that ensure our product messaging aligns with customer expectations. Additionally, you'll work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and commercial teams to optimise pricing strategies and drive efficiencies.

To ensure ongoing success, you'll continuously monitor sales, profitability, and product performance, using data analytics to inform strategic decision-making. By creating insightful reports and dashboards, you'll provide the business with a clear view of category health, identifying areas for growth and improvement.

What are the mission critical skills?

  • A degree (or equivalent) in business, marketing, or a relevant field.
  • Proven, previous experience in product or category management, with a track record of driving commercial success.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting market data and identifying trends.
  • A deep understanding of supply chains, procurement, and product development.
