Orcrist builds the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a Kubernetes-based data intelligence system delivered as SaaS or self-hosted/on-prem (including air-gapped deployments). We partner with defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise teams to make complex data actionable—securely and responsibly.

Role

As an Innovation PM, you own the full arc from problem to prototype: identifying the highest-leverage opportunities, forming clear hypotheses, building thin end-to-end prototypes with engineering and design, validating them with real operational users, and delivering adoption-ready handoff packages so delivery teams can take the work forward.

This is not a faster version of a traditional delivery PM role. It is fundamentally different. You operate in ambiguity by default, treat a working prototype as the minimum viable answer to a hypothesis, and measure success through validated learning and successful handoffs, not shipped features or backlog ownership.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end Innovation process from problem selection to validated prototype and handoff, focusing on the highest-leverage opportunities.
• Form clear, testable hypotheses with defined success criteria and explicit go/no-go decisions.
• Lead discovery and validation with operational users and customer teams, translating insights into crisp requirements and UX flows.
• Scope and ship thin, vertical-slice prototypes end-to-end (ingest → processing → ML/search → UI) with Engineering and Design, using the right tool for each hypothesis — from UX flows and interactive mockups to AI-assisted generation and code-first builds.
• Drive adoption-ready handoff packages including PRDs, UX flows, technical designs, data schemas, and integration backlogs with clear ownership.
• Ensure prototypes are measurable from day one through instrumentation, dashboards, and outcome tracking across cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments.
• Prioritize validated learning over feature delivery, using prototypes to prove or disprove hypotheses before committing roadmap resources.

About You

• Proven prototype builder who turns ambiguous problems into real, testable solutions quickly — and understands the difference between a mockup, a prototype, and a product.
• 5+ years as a Product Manager in technical B2B domains (data platforms, analytics, ML/AI, or developer tools) with strong full-stack understanding across ingestion, processing, and UI.
• Hypothesis-driven: you define success criteria upfront, make clear go/no-go decisions, and do not get attached to ideas.
• Effective in 0→1 environments: comfortable with ambiguity, rigorous about documentation, and clear about what you are trying to learn at each step.
• Data- and metrics-fluent: able to define meaningful success metrics, instrument your work, and let telemetry guide decisions.
• Eligible to work in Germany and willing to travel to Berlin and across DACH for workshops and user research.

Nice‑to‑haves

• Comfortable with a modern prototyping toolkit — from design and interactive mockups to AI-assisted generation and code-first builds — and knows which to reach for depending on what needs to be proven.
• Familiarity with investigative/analyst workflows (case files, CIR tracking, IPB-style artifacts) or adjacent domains.
• German language (B1+) and/or experience conducting pilot evaluations with public-sector users.
• Exposure to OSINT workflows, geospatial analysis, or multi-source intelligence fusion.
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments; familiarity with air-gapped or on-prem delivery constraints.
