About the Team
The Workflows Module is the key component of HighLevel’s automation engine, enabling agencies and businesses to create powerful, automated workflows that enhance efficiency, save time, and improve outcomes. By integrating with multiple product areas within the HighLevel platform, the Workflows Module empowers users to streamline processes, nurture leads, and manage tasks seamlessly.
As part of the team, you’ll work on improving existing capabilities within workflows, conceptualizing new workflow features, and delivering solutions that drive adoption, activation, and business growth. The team is committed to optimizing user experience, increasing efficiency, and helping customers get the most value out of HighLevel.
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Workflows Team. This role is perfect for a self-driven individual who is passionate about automation and SaaS products. As a PM, you will help build impactful features and refine existing capabilities in the Workflows Module, making it easier for users to automate complex business processes.
You will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to understand user pain points, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless execution. You will play a critical role in driving product success by leveraging data, user insights, and collaborative teamwork.
Your Responsibilities
- Workflow Funnel Optimization: Identify and close gaps from workflow creation to execution to improve activation and adoption rates across accounts.
- Time to Value Acceleration: Drive initiatives that make it faster and easier for users to launch their first meaningful automation.
- Retention & Engagement: Lead efforts to make workflows a sticky, high-usage product that users return to regularly.
- Builder Simplicity & Usability: Champion ease-of-use by simplifying complex concepts, refining the UI, and reducing friction in critical paths.
- Template & Entry Point Expansion:Launch iterative improvements to templates, hotlinks and suggested workflows to bridge intent and execution.
- Support Insight to Product Fixes: Analyze support tickets and user feedback to identify and resolve common sources of confusion or setup failure.
- Optimizing existing workflows, ensuring they are intuitive, scalable and aligned with customer needs.
- Manage New Features: Managing workflow feature requests, tracking, prioritizing and ensuring timely execution of essential updates.
- Cross Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other product teams (CRM, Reporting, Payments, AI, and Integrations) to ensure seamless cross-functional workflow improvements.
- Tracking Metrics: Tracking performance metrics to identify usability bottlenecks, activation & adoption trends, and areas for optimization.
- Staying updated on industry trends in automation, integrations, and no-code/low-code platforms to drive innovation within workflows.
Your Core Skills
- Experience in one or more of the following:
1. Product Management
2. Software Development
- Passionate about building intuitive and scalable workflow automation solutions.
- Ability to deeply understand user problems, spot friction in product flows, and make thoughtful trade-offs between power and simplicity.
- Comfort with digging into usage data, funnels, and support patterns to find actionable insights.
- Understanding of product development lifecycle and experience working on SaaS products.
- Strong analytical mindset to interpret user behavior, identify pain points, and optimize workflow functionalities.
- Leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive initiatives forward.
- Understanding of automation tools and workflow best practices to enhance user experience.
- Ability to deconstruct complex software experiences and highlight good UX from bad UX.
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms is a plus.
- A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
Experience
- 4 to 6 years of Product Management experience ideally in SaaS or automation platforms
- Proven track record of shipping complex, user-facing features in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience owning large-scale, customer-facing product platforms
- Experience working on workflow automation tools or CRM platforms is a plus
Deep Understanding of:
- Workflow builders, automations and no-code or low-code platforms
- Product funnels: activation, retention, and reducing time to value
- Identifying friction points in UX and translating feedback/support data into product decisions
- Cross-team platform work: enabling other product teams through triggers, actions, and integrations
- Working with engineering on large-scale frontend + backend architecture (especially builder-like UIs)
Running feature discovery and validation loops with beta users
Partnering closely with design to simplify complex systems and reduce cognitive load
Writing clear, structured PRDs and communicating roadmap tradeoffs to stakeholders
Analyzing data from tools like Superset, Pendo or Tableau to inform product decisions
