Job Summary:
As a Product Manager I, you will support the development and execution of key product initiatives, focusing on delivering user-centered solutions that align with product strategy and business objectives. This role requires a foundational understanding of product management principles, the ability to analyze user needs, and a proactive approach to solving challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position is ideal for a product manager looking to expand their expertise in a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Product Development and Execution:
• Assist in managing the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering to market launch, focusing on delivering high-quality, user-friendly products that meet customer needs.
• Work with engineering, design, and other teams to support the development of product features and functionality, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Conduct analysis of product performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, adapting existing approaches to resolve issues as needed.
Market and Customer Insight:
• Conduct customer research and gather feedback to understand user needs, helping to document product requirements and improvements.
• Assist in analyzing competitive products and market trends, identifying potential areas of differentiation and value for the product.
• Support customer feedback processes, collecting insights that inform product enhancements and drive user engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering productive internal relationships that support project success and effective product delivery.
• Coordinate with customer-facing teams to craft messaging back to customers that aligns with the product roadmap
• Provide updates and documentation to internal teams, ensuring alignment on project status, timelines, and goals.
• Assist with go-to-market enablement (including beta programs) and collaborate with others to develop online materials for support and professional services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in product management or a similar role, with demonstrated skills in product development, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Basic understanding of product management principles, with experience in managing feature development and supporting product lifecycles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with agile or lean product development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging various stakeholders and contributing to collaborative discussions.
Preferred Experience
- Enterprise B2B SaaS (software as a service) experience and/or experience specific to finance or budgeting in government or other public sector organizations
- Interest in improving the effectiveness of Government
