Drive product development for music distribution and content management tools while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the artist experience.

The Product Manager (PM) will drive the development of TuneCore’s products across music distribution, content management, and operational tooling. This role plays a key part in improving the artist experience and ensuring the seamless delivery of music to digital service providers (DSPs).

The PM will collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Engineering, Operations, Design, and Marketing — to define product goals, translate business needs into technical features, and deliver measurable and impactful solutions that empower independent artists worldwide.

This role requires a strong understanding of the digital music ecosystem, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can translate complex processes into intuitive, scalable products.

  •  Lead the full product lifecycle — from ideation and requirements gathering through launch and iteration, for tools supporting distribution, content management, and operational workflows.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define product priorities, build roadmaps, and deliver features that improve internal efficiency and artist outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and QA to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and smooth product launches.
  • Use customer research and data insights to identify opportunities for improving artist and internal user experiences.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key metrics to evaluate success and guide future development.
  • Write clear, concise Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support operational excellence by improving internal tooling and workflows for content review, ingestion, and distribution.
  • Stay informed about music industry trends, DSP requirements, and evolving technologies to ensure TuneCore remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • 4–6 years of product management experience in digital platforms or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of digital music distribution, DSP integrations, and content workflows.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and shipping digital products.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working across technical and operational teams.
  • Strong technical understanding (APIs, data structures, and integrations).
  • Bonus points for familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON, and tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; background in business, engineering, or music-related fields a plus.
