The Product Lead for Financial Services is the single-threaded owner for Cashback and Insurance at UW. You will accountable for setting product direction, owning outcomes, and leading multiple squads and PMs across a regulated, commercially critical domain that directly impacts acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value.

The focus of the role is to make UW's Financial Services products easy to understand, easy to buy, and easy to scale, while ensuring compliance-by-design and strong integration with UW’s broader multi-service propositions.

    Reporting to VP, Product, this role will manage a squad of 3-5 Product Managers whilst collaborating closely with engineering leadership and commercial stakeholders.

    • Own the Vision & Strategy: You will define and drive the product strategy for our Cashback card and Insurance pillars, translating high-level company goals into bold product bets that deliver undeniable customer value and commercial growth.
    • Champion Commercial Impact: Take full accountability for critical outcomes—including conversion, revenue, and LTV. You’ll ruthlessly prioritize to maximize ROI, making smart trade-offs between growth, regulation, and technical investment.
    • Architect Game-Changing Propositions: Design and evolve bundling and cross-sell strategies that build trust and drive retention. You’ll create a multi-year roadmap that anticipates market shifts and keeps us ahead of the curve.
    • Empower & Elevate Talent: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 3–5 Product Managers. You will set clear guardrails and foster a design-led culture where your team has the autonomy to execute with confidence.
    • Unite Engineering & Stakeholders: Act as a strategic partner to Engineering, Compliance, and Commercial leads. You will serve as the senior product voice, ensuring our architecture supports our strategy and that we deliver "compliant by design" products with seamless execution.

    What you'll need to demonstrate to be successful in this role:

    • Experience leading regulated financial or insurance digital product development
    • Strong commercial and customer judgement.
    • Comfortable operating in an OKR-led, empowered product model.
    • Proven ability to work across compliance-heavy environments without slowing delivery.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
    • Be comfortable collaborating with teams across product & design, data, marketing, engineering, commercial & operations.
    • Have hands-on experience with agile software development
    • Experience in financial services desirable not essential
    • Have experience and passion for analysing data and user experience
