It’s all in a day’s work for our Product team. You will be the smart conduit between our customers' needs and our engineers' skills. As one of Scandit’s Product Engineers, you will focus on optimizing our Computer Vision and Data Capture offering for our customers, lead the engineering work for advanced development projects, and analyze and investigate performance challenges. You will partner closely across the software engineering and product teams in an effort to develop new products and to optimize our existing products in the field of machine learning, computer vision and tracking of objects. The ideal candidate for this role has a technical background with programming experience and an interest to work at the intersection of business and technology.

Your opportunity

As a Product Engineer, you’ll be working right at the heart of our business at the place where our engineering and our customers meet. Here’s how you’ll contribute:

• Support our Customers as well as our Sales team with technical insights, guidelines and ensure an easy and ideal integration of Scandit’s products
• Optimize our software for best computer vision and deep learning performance on a variety of hardware platforms (smart devices, embedded systems, robots) and operating systems
• Work closely together with engineering to define product quality metrics 
• Lead engineering aspects of advanced development projects
• Build test systems for measuring quality and performance of new product features or improvements
• Build, verify and ensure high quality proof of concepts and prototypes prior to customer test

Who we look for

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Knowledge in optics and camera technology is appreciated
• Mobile development experience for Android or iOS is desirable
• Strong customer focus and problem-solving skills
• Open minded, sociable, and communicative personality
• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• German communication skills are desirable, but not essential
• Eligible to work in Switzerland and available to work at our Zurich HQ
