Product Development Engineering Intern (local candidates only - 1 year internship)

Assist engineering staff with specific tasks and small projects related to ongoing efforts. NOTE: This is a one year intern program going from October 2025 to September 2026. All candidates must be local to our Woburn, MA facility and be available to be onsite a minimum of 3 days/week.  You will work 2-3 days/week when school is in session, and up to 40 hours/week during breaks if desired.

• Execution of product testing including associated documentation. 
• Development of test methods and protocols, and reporting of testing results
• Generation of solid models and drawings using SolidWorks or any other similar SW's.
• Investigation and assessments of materials, components and equipment options as needed for development or testing.
• Researching and summarizing applicable medical literature.
• Sourcing and ordering materials and supplies for engineering and development work
• Maintenance of laboratory notebook used to document work
• Supporting Equipment Installation Qualifications.
• Engineering Lab support.

• Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (physics, chemistry, biomedical, chemical or nuclear engineering) and ideally having experience in at least one prior internship. We are only considering current junior or senior candidates at this time
• Strong aptitude to learn and support technical activities.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels
• Highly organized, exhibiting meticulous attention to detail
• Exceptional time management and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently on assignments
• Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual with high integrity and ethics in all dealings
• Eager to learn.
• Skilled with standard office applications including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Experience with CAD programs, SolidWorks preferred.
