We’re looking for a Product Designer to support the design and delivery of user-centric digital experiences across Pixlr Group’s product portfolio. This role focuses on executing UI/UX designs, applying design systems, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver intuitive and visually consistent products.
The Job:
1. UI/UX Design Execution & Leadership
- Lead the creation and execution of UI/UX designs that align with product requirements, user needs, and design standards.
- Oversee the work of junior designers and provide guidance on design execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Own end-to-end design execution, from ideation through final implementation.
2. Design System Application & Ownership
- Ensure consistency in design across products by maintaining and evolving Pixlr Group’s design system.
- Lead the application of design patterns, guidelines, and brand standards across multiple projects.
3. Prototyping & Iteration
- Lead the development of wireframes, prototypes, and functional mockups to support usability testing and design validation.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing, and evolving product requirements, ensuring innovation and practicality.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Design Leadership
- Lead design discussions and work closely with product managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure design goals align with business and technical objectives.
- Take ownership of design decisions and guide the team through product design challenges, ensuring alignment across teams.
5. Industry Awareness & Design Evolution
- Stay updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging tools, applying these insights to improve design processes and outcomes.
- Lead design discussions and critiques to ensure the team remains innovative and up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
The Person:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX or product design, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX designs, wireframes, and functional prototypes for digital products.
- Deep understanding of design systems and how to apply them across multiple platforms.
- Proven ability to guide and mentor junior designers, and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable owning the full design process, from ideation to implementation.
