Shape the next phase of Kitman Labs' platform as a Product Designer, using AI-native design workflows to tackle complex usability challenges for elite sports organizations.
Contribute across the design process, from discovery through to final UI and iteration
Create user flows, wireframes, high fidelity designs, and prototypes for complex product and workflow challenges
Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape solutions that are useful, usable, and feasible
Help ensure shipped experiences meet a high bar for clarity, consistency, and quality
Participate in discovery work to help define problems, evaluate opportunities, and test solution options
Conduct and support user research, workflow analysis, and usability testing
Translate feedback and product signals into practical design improvements
Collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Design, contributing to critiques and day to day product decisions
Use generative AI design tools to accelerate ideation, iteration, and prototyping
Create lightweight code based, “vibe coded” prototypes where useful to explore interaction patterns and communicate ideas more effectively
Apply judgement about when AI assisted or code backed prototyping adds value, and when more traditional design methods are the better fit
Contribute to the evolution of design patterns and system quality as part of a modern, AI aware design practice
7+ years in a software product design role.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
An excellent online portfolio showcasing thinking, UX, UI, and visual design.
Experience working closely with development teams to build web products.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the sports industry.
End to end experience from initial research through to design of user journeys.
Experience in sport, performance, healthcare, or similarly high consequence domains is advantageous.
Strong experience using generative AI design tools as part of day to day design work.
Practical experience creating lightweight code based or “vibe coded” prototypes to explore and communicate product ideas.
Familiarity with tools such as Figma Make and modern prototyping environments, including those used alongside platforms such as Vercel.
Working knowledge of LLM based systems, predictive models, and AI driven product features.
Comfort designing for explainability, human oversight, and trust where AI is involved.
Curiosity about emerging interaction models such as conversational UI, voice, multimodal input, and agent like workflows.
You are not expected to build models, but you must understand how AI behaves in product contexts and how modern AI enabled tooling can improve the design process.
A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, UX depth, and visual clarity.
Demonstrated systems thinking, with the ability to design coherent experiences across complex and interconnected workflows.
Experience building or scaling a design system.
Ability to operate at both platform and interaction level detail.
Clear communication of trade offs and design rationale.
Proactive, collaborative, and motivated to drive work to a high standard and conclusion.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and helping create clarity.
Open to feedback and able to engage constructively in critique and iteration.
Able to balance speed and quality in a fast moving product environment.
Strong ownership mindset without needing formal authority.
