Job Summary - The Design team is looking to hire a Product Designer to join our core experiences function. In this role, you would be working to enhance the product experience for Disney+ Hotstar customers. You would be responsible for designing experiences that help people browse and discover content to watch.
About the team
Design is one of the key teams at Disney+ Hotstar. We have 3 major areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, and Systems & Standards. We are a closely-knit team of 20 people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations.
Reporting to - Group Design Manager
Key Responsibilities
- You will design UIs and interactions that deliver qualitative and quantitative metrics
- You will collaborate with engineers and product managers throughout the design process, to create user flows & build user-interface mockups and prototypes
- You will take problem statements and turn them into valuable and user-friendly solutions for our 150 Million-plus customers
- You will create concepts that meet the relevant needs of a diverse set of users from various backgrounds
Skills & Attributes for Success
- A high level of craft and a keen eye for Visual Design of UIs and Prototyping Interactions
- Understanding of data, metrics and design decision-making
- Communication with peers and clear articulation of thoughts and decisions
- Past experience in Motion Design, Illustrations, Digital Accessibility, Inclusivity, Building Tools / Plugins, etc. is a bonus
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in product design
