Interior Product Designer – Acoustic Design Focus

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)

We’re recruiting on behalf of an innovative acoustic solutions company that collaborates with architects and interior designers to transform commercial interiors through beautifully designed, sound-enhancing products.

Based in Watford, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company where creativity, sustainability, and collaboration are at the heart of what they do. You’ll play a key role in developing visually striking wall, ceiling and furniture products that elevate workspaces—blending art, form, and function.

What you’ll be doing:

Creative Design & Development

  • Design eye-catching acoustic panels and interior features that complement modern office and commercial interiors.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and clients to interpret briefs and develop bespoke design-led solutions.
  • Create concept sketches, mood boards, and presentation visuals to bring your ideas to life.

Materials & Aesthetics

  • Research sustainable, tactile, and visually appealing materials that align with brand and project goals.
  • Contribute to the visual and textural identity of product collections and bespoke installations.

Prototyping & Visualisation

  • Work with the in-house team to develop mock-ups and prototypes for design validation and client presentations.
  • Use design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp) to produce visualisations and layout concepts.

Client Collaboration & Design Presentation

  • Present concepts and mood boards to clients, communicating design intent with confidence and clarity.
  • Adapt and refine designs based on feedback while maintaining artistic integrity and project goals.

Trend & Concept Research

  • Stay current with design trends in interiors, colour, materials, and sustainability.
  • Support the creative direction of the brand by contributing fresh ideas and inspiration.

Requirements

    • Education or experience in Interior Design, Product Design, Textile Design, or a related creative discipline.
    • A strong visual design portfolio demonstrating creative flair and spatial awareness.
    • Experience in commercial interiors, surface design, or decorative acoustic solutions (preferred).
    • Proficiency in creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar).
    • A keen eye for detail, colour, materials, and design storytelling.
    • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and transforming workspaces through design.
