Procurement Specialist

A non-exhaustive list of the things we’re pro: productivity, produce, proficiency, protractors (just us?), pro-blem solving, and procurement. Coincidentally, we are looking for a proactive procurement specialist to join our team of prolific professionals. What we’d love to know is: on a scale of 1 to “pro,” how do you fit the bill? We’re looking for a spritely individual who’s detail-oriented, passionate about sourcing the best of the best, and fosters evergreen relationships everywhere you go. About you:
  • Your organizational skills are stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger and The Rock... combined.
  • Conducting research and building relationships is your cup of tea/tumbler of cold brew/cold glass of celery juice, or whatever drink you choose.
  • You’ve got a curious and results-driven mindset.
  • You’re an excellent negotiator with in-depth knowledge of supply chain structures.
  • ‘Highly motivated with the ability to multitask’ is either your bio on LinkedIn, or a sticky note on your mirror that you read to yourself every morning.
  • You demonstrate effective communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • You’re a team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Your mom, friends, family, and unbiased strangers would all agree that you’re a ‘cool cat’ that inserts fun into every task, activity, and conversation.

  • What you will do:
  • Purchase materials and services that align with quantity, quality, timing, and cost expectations.
  • Generate purchase orders, review and approve invoices, and manage payment conditions.
  • Support new product trials by coordinating material procurement.
  • Track and monitor inventory levels to maintain appropriate supply.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to qualify new suppliers under Siete’s supplier verification requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal partners, addressing and resolving issues related to delays or quality concerns.
  • Drive cost savings through supplier and item cost optimization, negotiations,  and RFP support.
  • Stay informed on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
  • Conduct quarterly price reviews with key external partners, analyzing cost fluctuations to support Procurement’s budget.
  • Travel an average of 15% of the time.
  • Your experience:
  • 2+ years of experience working in procurement and/or other relevant supply chain roles is required.
  • Understanding of the CPG industry and food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including comfort with vlookups and pivot tables is required.
  • Experience working in ERP systems is a plus.
