Procurement Specialist – Banking (Fintech Focus)
Job Duties
- Assist senior team members in negotiating vendor contracts, with a strong emphasis on fintech-related risks, regulatory compliance, data security, and cost optimization.
- Support the contract renewal process by monitoring contract expirations, evaluating vendor performance, and revising terms to address evolving fintech risks and regulatory changes.
- Perform risk assessments and compliance reviews for contracts, particularly in high-risk fintech areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and third-party governance.
- Maintain accurate contract repositories and documentation using tools like Ariba/SAP, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and Hong Kong regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA guidelines).
- Handle procurement tasks including vendor registration, purchase orders, and invoice queries, while incorporating fintech-specific risk and compliance checks.
- Monitor and report on vendor performance, spend trends, and emerging risks within the fintech ecosystem.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, focusing on enhancing risk mitigation and compliance in a fast-paced virtual banking environment.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, IT, and Finance on sourcing, negotiation, and risk-related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or risk/compliance. Experience in fintech, virtual banking, or financial services is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of risk management, compliance principles, and regulatory requirements in the financial industry (e.g., HKMA, PDPO, cybersecurity standards).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, SAP Ariba) is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative fintech environment.
- Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
