Role Overview
The Procurement Director will oversee local procurement operations in Brazil, develop procurement strategies aligned with the company’s industrial supply chain business, and build a stable, high-quality local supplier network.
This role supports the company’s industrial supply chain service expansion and overseas-accompaniment strategy in Brazil, serving both Chinese-funded enterprises and local industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities
Local Procurement & Cost Management
- Lead procurement negotiations, pricing control, and cost optimization for core industrial categories, including general and professional MRO, BOM materials, and office supplies for Chinese-funded enterprises.
- Ensure cost efficiency, supply stability, and procurement effectiveness across categories.
Supplier Management & Risk Control
- Establish and continuously improve local supplier management systems, including supplier development, evaluation, onboarding, performance management, and classification.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to enhance cooperation quality and mitigate supply chain risks.
Market Insight & Strategy Development
- Develop in-depth understanding of Brazil’s industrial market, including demand trends, government policies (especially related to Chinese-funded overseas expansion), trade regulations, and competitive dynamics.
- Leverage the company’s digital supply chain capabilities to propose targeted procurement strategies that create differentiated competitive advantages.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Establish, manage, and train the local procurement team in Brazil (where applicable).
- Build a cohesive, execution-driven team and promote procurement process standardization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with domestic and local teams across operations, warehousing, legal, and finance.
- Coordinate procurement planning and inventory management to align with market demand and sales targets, improving inventory turnover and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above; supply chain management or related fields preferred.
- 8+ years of procurement experience, including 5+ years of local procurement management experience in Brazil.
- Background in industrial products, MRO, BOM procurement, or serving industrial customers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian procurement processes, trade regulations, tax policies, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated strengths in negotiation, cost control, and supply chain risk management.
- Preferred: Experience working as a procurement manager for Chinese-funded enterprises in Brazil, with strong cross-cultural collaboration skills and an established local supplier network.
- Mandatory: Proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken).
- Fluent in English and/or Portuguese as working languages for business operations and team management.
