An exciting opportunity has opened up in the Procurement Department. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping key stakeholders receive goods and services on time. This includes obtaining quotes, placing orders and contracts based on business demand. As a Procurement & Supply Chain Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in our UK procurement team, ensuring that our suppliers and supply chains are delivering inline with business requirements, this role offers and excellent opportunity to expand your exposure to a worldwide supply chain, working across multiple categories.

  • Process purchase orders
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to orders, coordinating schedule changes where necessary.
  • Update and maintain accurate records within the procurement / ERP system.  
  • Create reports for stakeholders when required
  • Liaise with both internal stakeholders and suppliers ensuring project needs and supplier constraints are understood
  • Create RFP/RFQ documents
  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
  • Practical negotiation on pricing terms and delivery schedules
  • Support the procurement manager in all purchasing activities
  • Obtain quotes
  • Expedite deliveries
  • Coordinate vehicle fleet
  • Maintain the approved supplier list

Educational background

  • A level or equivalent
  • CIPS level 4 or working towards (preferrable)

Functional skills:

  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Highly proficient in MS office (excel, word, Outlook).
  • A strong ability to collect, interpret, and act on procurement data to meet business goals.
  • Knowledge of supply chain logistics and best practices.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of basic contract terms and procurement policies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail orientated and comfortable with routine processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
