Processing Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

 The Processor is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and processing loan application documentation. The Processor streamlines the process and works with ISO managers, Biz Dev reps and underwriters to finalize a deal file for submission to underwriting for credit analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Learn and understand various financial products.
• Review submitted application for completeness and enter relevant information in Funds portal to prepare file for underwriting.
• Review bank statements, “scrub” them and enter required information in the Funds portal.
• Follow up with sales reps on obtaining the required documentation from the merchant.
• Pull merchant credit.
• Resolve Sales Reps or Business Development Reps inquiries and complaints.
• Coordinate with ISO reps to obtain missing information to complete the file.
• Assess criteria to decide whether to decline the deal or to advance to underwriting.
• Monitor submissions email when assigned.
• Process files in a time sensitive manner.
• Consult with Processing Operations Manager for final decline approval when cannot determine alone.
• Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong drive and willingness to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Ability to work in a high frequency environment, multitask at a very high level and maintain multiple deadlines.
• Understanding small businesses, and various types of private business financing.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Technologically savvy; comfortable with Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Feels empowered to help solve escalated issues. Works independently to resolve issues and determine viable solutions.

Education Requirements/Additional Preferences:

• Required Years of Work Experience: 1 year of general work experience
• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or Economics, College degree or equivalent work experience. Finance, Economics or Accounting

Salary Range: $50K-$65K depending on experience
