Process Safety Leader
 
Brief Description
Manage chemical and process safety programs across multiple sites in North America for a manufacturing operation.  Help drive operation efficiency and safety improvements at our chemical processing facilities in Temple TX.  Drive best in class compliance programs and regulatory compliance to ensure Wilsonart locations continue to keep EHS as priority #1.  Support research and growth of the business in a complex regulatory environment to ensure best control methodologies are in place.  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement process safety and risk management programs (PSM & RMP) at our adhesive manufacturing facility.
•    Support EHS and process safety programs at our solid surface manufacturing operation.
•    Led implementation of best-in-class safety chemical process procedures.
•    Led waste reduction initiatives across our chemical processing operations in North America.
•    Ensure regulatory compliance across all aspects of EHS programs.
•    Partner with technical experts on the Global EHS team to implement Wilsonart processes and procedures.
•    Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organization, of the impact of emerging EHS issues.
•    Develop and implement EHS management systems to continually improve the impact of the organization on the environment.
•    Train staff at all levels on various EHS topics and responsibilities.
•    Support new business opportunities and growth with management of change and compliance assurance. 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Knowledge of safety and health standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
•    Knowledge of environmental engineering practices.
•    Familiarity with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP Programs.
•    Knowledge of federal regulations, state laws and local laws affecting industrial practices.
•    Experience with chemical processing operations.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities.
•    Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms inside and out of the organization. Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
•    Experience and knowledge with regulatory authorities.

Minimum Requirements
•    Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a closely related field.  One additional year of experience may substitute for one year of required education with a maximum substitution of four years.
•    5+ years’ experience dealing with EHS issues.
