Process Engineer

As a Process Engineer you will review and optimize the production processes of stow’s Ovar plant
Main responsibilities:
- Act as the plant's expert in manufacturing processes (metal forming, welding, powder painting)
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives by optimizing the use of resources
- Monitor and analyze process KPIs (yield, throughput, downtime, etc.) and drive continuous improvement
- Work with Production, Logistics and Maintenance teams on the shop floor to execute improvement projects
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
- Provide technical training and support to Production supervisors and operators
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a process engineer in metalworking industry (metal forming, welding) - mandatory
- Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant area
- Knowledge of LEAN tools
- Previous experience in Production process engineering activities (continuous improvement is a plus)
- Hands-on approach, in strict collaboration with Production shopfloor
- Proactive, autonomous player, with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions
- Solid communication skills, able to collaborate with several stakeholders in a team environment
- English fluent, both verbal and written
- Resident in Ovar or nearby area
