Job Description

EarthCam is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Process Engineer/Technical Writer to join our Engineering team in New Jersey. This role focuses on analyzing, documenting, and improving internal processes and systems to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability across engineering and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of translating complex technical information into clear, structured documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and maintain policies, procedures, and process documentation
  • Translate engineering systems and workflows into clear, professional documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers and subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Review, revise, and standardize documentation across teams and systems
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Quickly learn internal systems and adapt documentation to evolving requirements
  • Support engineering operations by ensuring documentation reflects real-world workflows

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Adaptable, curious, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear communicator with the ability to structure information logically

Qualifications

  • Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, or process-driven materials
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, systems, and technical workflows
  • Strong written communication, editing, and documentation skills
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience is preferred
