AI overview

Drive innovation by simplifying and automating workflows using AI tools and process improvement methodologies, enhancing efficiency for operations across the company.

The job in brief:

Job Title -  Process Automation Analyst
Working model -  hybrid from Madrid, Spain
Team -  you will join the new Automation department.
Level - Professional
Location -  Madrid, Spain
Contract -  Permanent - full-time (EUR 36 h/week)

What your impact will be:

  • Find process problems.
Work closely with teams everywhere, operations, finance, customer support, and sales to understand how daily tasks are completed. Identify time-consuming steps like manual data entry or switching between tools, and highlight areas that can be improved.

  • Simplify and automate workflows.
You will not just make old processes faster—you will help redesign them to be smarter and more efficient. You will use tools like Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping, or BPMN to find the best solution.

  • Apply AI and automation.
You’ll look for places where AI tools (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) or automation platforms (like n8n or RPA tools) can replace manual steps. You create high-level designs that developers can quickly build.

  • Measure and prioritize.
Use data (such as task volume, time required, number of errors, or costs) to decide which improvements will have the most value. Present clear summaries that show the benefits of each automation.

  • Engage with stakeholders.
Work with business teams to explain the technology in simple terms, support testing and rollout, and ensure everyone understands the changes.

  • Create clear documentation.
Describe how processes work today, and how they will work after automation. Write clear instructions and create dashboards, so both new team members and auditors can quickly understand the improvements.

  • Promote automation across the company.
Help train other employees who want to build automations, share success stories, and support a culture of innovation.

Your expertise:

  • Experience in process improvement:
3+  years of experience as a Consultant, Process Analyst, Operational Excellence lead, or similar role. Experience in fast-moving industries like e-commerce, marketplaces or travel is a plus.

  • Hands-on approach:
You don’t wait for others to fix things—you take responsibility, remove blockers, and make things happen.

  • Strong communicator:
Able to explain technical ideas to business leaders and discuss ROI. Also comfortable working with technical teams

  • Data-driven mindset:
You use facts, dashboards, or simple demos to tell a clear story and support your ideas.

  • Curious and proactive with technology:
You have tried AI tools, built small automation flows, or explored new technologies on your own.

  • Results-oriented:
You care more about delivering improvements quickly than waiting for perfect plans.

  • Team motivator:
Your energy helps others move faster and feel excited about improving how things work.

Your Skills and Tools

  • Process Tools:
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, process mining (e.g. Celonis), and tools like Power BI.

  • AI and Automation:
Familiarity with AI platforms (OpenAI, Gemini), automation tools (n8n), low-code apps, and technologies like OCR and NLP.

  • Data Skills:
Confident working with spreadsheets, SQL, BI tools, and able to run small Python scripts to test ideas.

  • Change Management:
Experience with frameworks to drive and deploy lasting change in an organisation.
