Must-have Skills

  • 7+ years of product design experience, with at least 3+ years in cross-functional product roles (PM, Product Designer, Design Lead)
  • Proven stakeholder management skills - comfortable interviewing executives, facilitating workshops, and managing conflicting priorities
  • Requirements gathering expertise - skilled at asking the right questions, identifying gaps, and translating ambiguous needs into clear specifications
  • Technical fluency - can discuss API design, data models, system architecture, and technical tradeoffs with engineering teams
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience - comfortable with sprint-based delivery, iterative development, and rapid pivots
  • Pair programming/design experience - thrive in collaborative, synchronous work environments
  • Exceptional ability to task-switch and reprioritize in fast-moving, high-stakes environments
  • Expert-level skills in Figma and ability to quickly translate concepts into interactive prototypes

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience designing for generative AI applications (text generation, image creation, AI-assisted workflows)
  • Background in content creation platforms, publishing tools, or creative software
  • Familiarity with cost/unit economics in AI products (token consumption, API pricing models)
  • Understanding of long-form content management and versioning systems
  • Experience with tiered user experiences (beginner/intermediate/advanced modes)

Prior work with publishing, media, or entertainment clients
