Gigamon is seeking a self-motivated experienced Principal SW QA Engineer for a full-time position. This position requires a strategic thinker; a problem solver who is a self-starter and self-motivated; well organized, flexible, and effective with multiple simultaneous tasks
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement test automation scripts using Python and Robo Framework.
- Provide technical expertise for testing and validate networking functionalities in public and private cloud environments (VMWARE, Open Stack, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Approach testing and quality assurance with enthusiasm and passion and ensuring accurate testing and troubleshooting
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to network visibility and testing.
- Demonstrate strong technical capabilities of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning in the testing environment.
What you’ve done:
- Proficiency in handling Traffic Generator and TRex for network testing.
- Expertise in test automation using Python and Robo Framework.
- Experience and knowledge in public and private cloud environments such as VMWARE, Open Stack, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with Netflow V5, V9, and IPFIX.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and familiarity with PCAP (Packet Capture) analysis.
- Understanding of QA life cycle processes.
- Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong expertise in Python and Robo Framework for test automation.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology (B Tech).
- 15+ years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on network visibility and protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of Networking L2, L3, L4 protocols, VLAN Switching, and L3 Routing.
