Principal SOC Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Provide subject matter expertise in at least two of the following:
• Next-Gen Firewall (NGFW) Technologies
• Secure Services Edge (SSE)
• Secure Web Gateways (SWG)
• Privileged Identity & Access Management (PAM)
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
• Own the delivery of security solutions across diverse environments—on-prem, virtualised, and cloud.
• Engage with senior clients, building strong, trusted relationships.
• Collaborate strategically across teams to drive innovation and resilience.
• Apply your knowledge in application security, including WAF and CDN technologies

Requirements

• 10+ years in senior IT roles spanning service desk, networking, and security.
• Proven leadership of high-performing, geographically distributed teams.
• Hands-on expertise with Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.
• Practical experience with NGFW, EDR, PAM, SWG, SEG tools.
• Solid understanding of IT security controls, OSI model, and TCP/IP stack.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with cloud-native firewalls (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Integration skills with platforms like CTIP, SIEM, Algosec, and VM tools.
• Managing cloud-hosted firewalls via IaC and Terraform.
• Vendor certifications in NGFW, SASE, PAM, EPM, or WAF.
