The Role

We’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to drive the vision, structure, and cross-organizational execution of SoFi’s Member 360 data product. Member 360 is a unified data product which pulls together everything we know about our members and customers to enable product personalization, better AI products, more effective marketing, better customer support, and support our risk and fraud requirements. We need to improve the design and integration across all our providers to better support consumers of member data. You will align with consumers across our Lending and Financial Service Businesses, Engineering, Data Science, Risk/Fraud/AML, and Marketing to deliver governed, high-quality, and widely adopted member data capabilities.

What you'll do:

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for a unified, governed Member 360 and related data products; define contracts, quality standards, and operating model across domains.
  • Lead cross-org prioritization and portfolio management for foundational member data capabilities (schemas, lineage, access, SLAs, stewardship) and partner with engineers to break ties when the needs across domain are in conflict.
  • SoFi maintains a growing Member 360 inventory (entities, owners, systems) and is executing a program to create and evolve a more coherent, integrated experience for all the stakeholders in the company. You will convert this foundational work into durable data product design, procedures, and accelerated outcomes.
  • Run a unified backlog across platforms/domains; make tradeoffs grounded in business impact, risk, and readiness.
  • Partner with our data governance team to ensure that member data is naturally meeting governance requirements as well as business requirements.
  • Orchestrate integration across programs such as member personalization, enablement of AI both inside and out, and supporting internal Fraud and AML functions to drive measurable outcomes at company scale.
  • Drive adoption: create migration plans, deprecation strategy, enablement docs/tooling, and a predictable release/communication cadence for consuming teams.
  • Measurable improvements in data quality and trust including DQ scores, SLA adherence, lineage coverage, and incident rate across top member data products.
  • Operate at company scope, influence VPs+ across business and tech; simplify complexity into crisp decisions and narratives.

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years in Product Management with deep experience in data platforms/products such as Customer 360, MDM/CDP, governance, quality, lineage, etc.
  • Proven success leading multi-year, cross-organizational initiatives at large enterprises; sustained outcomes at company scope.
  • Strong data acumen: data modeling, SQL proficiency, metric design, contract/versioning, SLA design, lineage and access controls.
  • Demonstrated portfolio management: intake→prioritization→roadmap→delivery across multiple teams and dependencies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management; able to drive clarity and decisions with executives and ICs.

Nice to have:

  • Prior delivery against a formal Member 360 PRD or equivalent data product spec; comfortable navigating regulated contexts.
  • Experience operationalizing data product governance (naming, ownership, lifecycle, quality metrics) at scale.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in a financial institution
  • Experience with data governance programs and requirements
