About the Role

The Veeam Kasten team is looking for a dynamic and innovative Product Management Principal for its Cloud-Native initiatives. Kasten is a Five-Time Leader and Outperformer in the GigaOm Kubernetes Data Protection report, a leading analyst report tracking this fast-growing market. In this exciting role, you will drive product management that will be at the cutting edge of technical innovation, requiring you to work closely with a world-class development team, customers, and alliance partners.

In this role, you will define, prioritize, and execute end-to-end product development, including leading new product initiatives. You will partner closely with our development, product, sales, and marketing teams across the company. This role reports directly to the VP of Product and Partnerships for Kasten. 

What You'll Do

  • Engage closely with a global, highly skilled development team and community members to break down complex problems and drive sprint planning
  • Launch and scale product initiatives, including Kubernetes data protection offerings for modern virtualization environments
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to product launches and content development for internal and external audiences
  • Engage with customers and sales teams to understand product use, identify growth opportunities, and iterate on the product roadmap
  • Use internal and external resources to effectively position Kasten as the market leader
  • Develop and execute joint programs or activities with key partners to deliver new customer logos & bookings through co-selling activities
  • Define and measure success metrics for your product areas
  • Evangelize Kasten at key customer, partner, and analyst events
  • Enable tighter integration with our ecosystem partners  

What You'll Bring

  • A deep technical understanding and hands-on experience with cloud and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, and Azure)
  • Technical background and ideally partner or field solutions architect, DevOps, sales engineering, or technical marketing engineer job experience in the past
  • Proven experience in bringing new products and capabilities successfully to the market
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with enterprise customers, business and technical teams, and senior leadership to define market fit for new product capabilities
  • Ability and penchant to be hands-on to build and showcase demos highlighting product capabilities
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead and facilitate the management of details needed to accomplish tasks; capable of managing several programs and initiatives simultaneously
  • Team player with a can-do approach who can work across an organization to build a plan, get alignment, and execute
  • Willingness to travel internationally to conferences, internal and external customer meetings

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in the data protection industry, including exposure to Storage and Database ecosystem, particularly those related to protection APIs
  • Experience and familiarity with the VMware vSphere technology and working with VMware system and backup administrators
