And this is where you come in… The Principal Product Manager works closely with the Executive Producer to create a clear product roadmap of prioritized features and initiatives in particular areas of the game that will achieve the product vision, goals and business objectives. You’ll leverage data to identify opportunities, drive strategy, and lead product execution, collaborating with stakeholders to align on vision and deliver results for both players and the business. In this leadership role, you will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and product excellence, driving innovation and iteration to ensure our products evolve and deliver long-term value. Product Analysis, Strategy and Development:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to co-develop comprehensive strategies that maintains and improves player engagement, monetization and  informs planned feature releases.
  • Proactively identify optimizations and feature implementations to maximize player experience and business performance.
  • Deconstruct proven and applicable game features and monetization mechanics and guide discussions with the design team to inform design planning.
  • Conduct and synthesize market analysis, customer preferences, competitive intelligence, and business analysis to identify key trends, emerging opportunities, and potential areas for current product and new product development (across genres, platforms, territories and demographics).
  • Provide in-depth data-driven analysis on the user behaviours, product, and revenue to inform feature and monetization planning.
  • Create compelling business cases for prioritized current & new product opportunities, outlining market potential, value propositions, and financial projections, to secure executive buy-in and investment.
  • Cross-functional partnerships:
  • Work closely with the EP, Game Leads and other stakeholders to inform and execute product strategy aimed at improving core product KPIs.
  • Work closely with the design team to conceptualize and implement engaging features, mechanics, systems and modalities of play that fulfill business goals
  • Communicate and prioritize asks with the data team to conduct in-depth analysis of the in-game economy trends using data insights to impact top line KPIs
  • Partner with design teams and analytics to establish experimentation road map, using A/B testing and machine learning to meet objectives and create product and player insight. Translate outcomes into relevant recommendations
  • Results & Leadership:
  • Establish clear success metrics and reporting mechanisms for new product initiatives, tracking progress against goals and identifying areas for improvement to ensure features and initiative deliver the desired results.
  • Drive product strategy and roadmap, partnering on and monitoring execution in order to meet business forecast.
  • Champion a data-driven and market opportunity approach to product development and decision-making.
  • Participates in the recruitment process.
  • Inspires and encourages teamwork and supports knowledge dissemination.
  • Creates and sustains a positive work environment.
  • Lead data analytics team and initiatives for the studio.
  • To be successful in this role, your background includes:
  • Post-Secondary degree in related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, finance, economics or related field
  • 7 + years of experience in product management, games systems design, or data analytics in games as a service. (mobile, PC, or console)
  • Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model game parameters using Excel and business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Understanding and experience with a wide range of business models including, but not limited to, free-to-play and subscriptions business models.
