As we grow we’re looking to hire an experienced Principal Product Consultant on a permanent basis. You’ll be a key member of our consultancy team and will drive the creation and evolution of significant digital products and platforms, overseeing a complex portfolio of technology initiatives.

Requirements

As Principal Product Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the development and evolution of client digital products and platforms, working alongside Burendo team members as the senior representative on the account.
• Setting the strategic direction for product portfolios and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, customer needs, and measurable business outcomes.
• Managing product roadmaps, investment priorities, and resource alignment to ensure successful outcomes, while establishing and maintaining robust portfolio reporting that provides clear, data-driven insight to senior stakeholders.
• Providing C-Suite-level advisory support, influencing senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted partner in complex product and technology decision-making environments.
• Applying your strong understanding of organisational change, software development lifecycles, cloud architectures, and modern engineering practices to support informed product decisions and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Leading and embedding modern product management practices across portfolios, ensuring alignment between product strategy, delivery teams, and business goals while maintaining adaptability and responsiveness to change.
• Driving and supporting broader organisational transformation initiatives, aligning operating models, governance, and ways of working to enable product-led organisations.
• Creating a culture of continuous improvement, evolving team practices, tools, and approaches to enhance product performance, value realisation, and customer outcomes.
• Establishing measurable product success metrics and continuously evaluating portfolio health to inform strategic adjustments and investment decisions.
• Championing Agile and product thinking principles, promoting transparency, collaboration, customer focus, and iterative development to achieve sustainable, high-performing teams and products.
• Mentoring and developing product and delivery professionals, building capability and succession within the Burendo practice.

It's important that you have:

• Consultancy experience
• Experience working at Principal level
• Demonstrable experience of large scale transformations or digital product programmes
• Agile and waterfall delivery leadership experience
