The Opportunity

As a Principal Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll be foundational in Bizee’s platform modernization rebuilding the core systems, services, and experiences that will power the next decade of entrepreneurship. You’ll work across the stack to modernize legacy workflows, design scalable service patterns, implement event-driven architecture, and ship high-quality product experiences that feel fast, intuitive, and intelligent.

This is a role for a builder who thrives on solving complex systems challenges, loves shipping, and is energized by creating leverage for teams around them. You’ll partner closely with Platform Engineering, Data, Product, and AI teams to deliver an API-first, modular platform that accelerates product velocity, supports AI-powered automation, and unlocks future partner and developer ecosystems.

Requirements

What You’ll Own

Foundational Platform Modernization

• Modernize core services into scalable, reliable, composable components.
  
• Refactor legacy systems into clear, modular patterns that improve velocity and maintainability.
  
• Implement event-driven architecture and service boundaries that support automation and intelligence.

End-to-End Product Development

• Build high-performance back-end services, GraphQL/REST APIs, and modern, polished front-end experiences.
  
• Collaborate with Product and Design to ship customer-facing features with clarity and speed.
  
• Drive engineering excellence across reliability, performance, and system behavior. AI-Ready & API-First Infrastructure

• Implement API contracts, tooling, and patterns that support both internal developers and future partner ecosystems.
  
• Integrate with data pipelines and AI systems to enable intelligent workflows and recommendations.
  
• Ensure systems are instrumented, observable, and optimized for downstream automation. Technical Leadership & Influence
• Be a multiplier across engineering, mentoring teams, setting patterns, elevating code quality, and unblocking complexity.
  
• Partner with the Head of Platform Engineering and CTO to influence long-term technical decisions.
  
• Champion simple, scalable architectures that support rapid iteration and long-term extensibility.
  

What You’ll Bring

• 8–12+ years of full-stack engineering experience in high-scale SaaS, platform, or tech-enabled services.
  
• Expertise in modern backend (Node, TypeScript, Python, Go preferred) and modern frontend frameworks (React).
  
• Deep experience designing scalable service architectures and modernizing legacy systems.
  
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems, distributed services, and API-first development.
  
• Comfort partnering with data and AI teams to build intelligent, context-aware workflows.
  
• High engineering standards, code quality, testing, reliability, and performance matter to you.
  
• A builder’s mindset: scrappy, fast-moving, decisive, and obsessed with creating leverage.
  
• Strong cross-functional communication and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
