We are seeking a versatile Principal Engineer to join our team in a multi-faceted role supporting web scraping project coordination, documentation, UI/UX design, and SharePoint development. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment requiring flexibility across technical disciplines and demonstrate strong organizational skills to coordinate project onboarding activities. This role requires someone who can bridge technical implementation with clear communication, ensuring smooth handoffs, well-documented processes, and intuitive user experiences. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with development teams, stakeholders, and end users to deliver solutions that meet both functional and usability requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for web scraping projects, including requirements gathering, environment setup, and stakeholder communication
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process guides, system documentation, and user-facing materials
  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows to support team collaboration and information management
  • Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements for SharePoint-based solutions
  • Ensure documentation and designs adhere to organizational standards and accessibility requirements
  • Aid in the creation wireframes, mockups, and UI/UX designs to support application development and improve user workflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in a technical analyst, SharePoint developer, or similar hybrid role
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating technical projects or onboarding activities
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online configuration, site design, and basic development (Power Automate, Power Apps, or SPFx a plus)
  • Experience creating technical documentation and user guides
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Understanding of web scraping concepts, data extraction workflows, or ETL processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting requirements
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages used in data extraction
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working in federal government or government contracting environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Power Platform

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline.
