Principal Engineer, Field Application Engineering

TLDR

Provide on-site support for Enterprise customers, ensuring successful product qualification and managing technical issues in collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities will include on-site support for Enterprise customers and ODMs in Taiwan.

    •  
  • Focal contact for all qualification and quality related issues and concerns for the assigned accounts.
  • Provide the product and technology expertise to enable successful pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
  • Provide technical support to ODMs for Global OEM customers and co-work closely with Global OEM account teams to ensure successful product qualification.
  • To support customer design-in activities, drive successful product qualification and ensure timely resolution of technical issues customers / ODMs
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on product issue analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Lead technical meeting between ODMs and internal teams to model customer request on product specifications and applications.
  • Manage and coordinate all activities at the customer’s R&D and qualification engineering sites. 
  • Manage and coordinate all activities at the customer’s manufacturing and/or field return sites with respect to quality initiatives and requirements.
  • Create and maintain close technical relationships with customers / ODMs.

Requirements

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s of Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualification engineer or Field Application Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer in the field of Flash storage.

Specific knowledge

  • Experience and familiarity of Enterprise platform design
  • NAND flash protocol knowledge is a plus
  • Good logical approach to troubleshooting and isolation of issues

Language / Interpersonal skills

  • Local language and strong English skills is a must
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be very independent and able to prioritize on a demanding workload.
  • Effectively deliver formal presentations to customer and internal teams.
