The Principal Electrical Engineer provides advanced technical leadership and strategic direction for complex electrical engineering initiatives. This role is responsible for driving engineering excellence across the full project lifecycle—combining deep technical expertise with effective project governance to deliver innovative, compliant, and high-quality solutions that support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Lead the design, development, and review of complex electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
Define and own the technical strategy, system architecture, and engineering roadmap for major projects.
Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to engineering teams to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Project Delivery
Oversee end-to-end project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Identify, assess, and manage technical and project risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with cost, quality, and performance expectations.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
Lead design reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities; drive corrective and preventive actions where required.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and engineering rigor across all project activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a key technical liaison, clearly communicating project progress, risks, and outcomes to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including operations, procurement, and construction—to resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
Annual compensation range: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually
The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with demonstrated leadership of large-scale or complex projects.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of electrical power systems, design methodologies, engineering tools, and relevant industry standards.
Project Management: Strong planning and organizational skills; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
