This role requires a strong combination of consulting maturity, business analysis, and technical expertise. You will take full ownership of the client relationship and "data highway," acting as the bridge between business users, data, and development teams to ensure accurate data flows and navigate complex, ambiguous project environments. What You'll Be Doing
  • Drive the investigation of data and system-related issues across internal financial applications. Identify root causes, perform data analysis, and own the end-to-end coordination with stakeholders to implement fixes.
  • Lead the data onboarding process by performing data profiling, mapping, and shaping data into logical/MVP modelsfor downstream applications and analytics (Redshift).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, generating recurring and ad hoc reports that provide actionable insights and connect the dots between technical data flows and business value.
  • Manage multiple complex data projects simultaneously, navigating uncertainty and shifting client requirements with a "self-starter" mentality.
  • Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical specifications. Collaborate directly with client leadership to refine user stories and data logic.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Data Consultant in financial services (Capital Markets, Banking, or Fintech).
  • A "Consulting DNA": Proven ability to "read the room," manage senior stakeholders, and operate independently.
  • Deep experience in Data Governance and Data Quality; you don't just move data, you ensure its integrity and strategic value.
  • Strong SQL skills. Ability to write queries, handle complex joins/unions, and perform rigorous data validations across legacy and modern (NoSQL/Cloud) environments.
  • Experience in boutique consulting or professional services firms.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, MVP modeling, and application integration principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to own the narrative when presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The base salary range is - $170,000-$200,000
    Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role and level.

    Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
    Salary range disclosure as required by S9427A when hiring in New York.
