The Eluvio Content Fabric provides an innovative distributed and decentralized video processing framework with just-in-time and personalized experiences, made possible through state-of-the-art real-time content routing, just-in-time code execution, and inline frame accurate multi-modal content AI. Our technology supports ground breaking content distribution and monetization driven by data, and we have formed Eluvio AI Labs to pursue the  frontiers of innovation for Content AI. We are hiring for Principal AI Scientist to lead the effort on foundation (Video/Text/Images - multimodal) ML/AI models. This role will drive the organization level mandate for AI/ML research and development, and lead a team to innovate new and breakthrough AI/ML solutions for topics like (not limited to) -  video understanding and generation, multi modal search and recommendation, content processing optimization, scalable routing, pricing advertising, audience analysis.  

Job duties:

• Drive the organization level AI mandate and roadmap and set technical direction ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage multiple stakeholder’s needs and map product gaps to AI solutions. 
• Drive the AI team’s initiatives on (not limited to),
  - Applied Research and Development of novel Video Foundation models for use cases spanning, video understanding, search and generation. 
  - Deployment of production-grade multimodal and/or LLM/VLM models.
  - Design and development of novel infrastructure for ML training, inference, and content search.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or related fields (ECE / Statistics / Math / Physics). Strong Masters will be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of working experience as a machine learning engineer.
• Demonstrated ability to build, verify, and deploy state-of-the-art task-specific ML models.
• Deep knowledge of machine/deep learning algorithms (e.g., Transformer/VLM/LLM, CNNs, residual networks, GAN, clustering, sequence models) and frameworks/libraries (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Jax).
• Excellent experience in deployment of machine learning models in production environments, particularly in video/media-focused applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams, managing priorities, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical expertise in system design and software development. Proficiency in both high-level languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) and system programming languages (e.g., C/C++/Go/Rust).
• Demonstrated knowledge in API design and implementation for model inference services, ensuring scalable, reliable, and efficient integration of machine learning models into production systems.
• Deep knowledge and experience in statistical data analysis and strong skills in managing and processing large-scale data sets, particularly in media. Knowledge of CockroachDB, Firebase DB, and other stores for large-scale data sets.
