Principal AI Deployment Architect

The Role:

As a Principal AI Deployment Architect, you will work directly with customers to understand their problems and design, deploy and scale innovative AI solutions and automations using our Process Intelligence platform. In a pre-sales and post sales capacity you will work closely with other AI experts across Product & Engineering and GTM to standardize these solutions and bring them to our customer base at scale. We are ideally looking for individuals with in-depth practical experience in delivering solutions to our customers.

The work you’ll do:

• Architect & Deploy: Prototype, develop, and scale end-to-end AI solutions tailored to customer needs, leveraging Python, LLM-based architectures (RAG), and Machine Learning models.
• Strategic Alignment: Pitch the Celonis AI value proposition to C-level stakeholders, aligning our Process Intelligence capabilities with their broader enterprise AI strategy.
• Scale Innovation: Identify high-impact AI use cases across the Celonis platform and package them into scalable, repeatable offerings (e.g., via the Machine Learning Workbench).
• Lead "Lighthouse" Projects: Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI Lighthouse customers, ensuring successful value realization from pilot to production.
• Cross-Functional Feedback: Act as the technical voice of the customer, collaborating with Product & Engineering to influence the roadmap for AI Agents and automation capabilities.
• Enablement & Evangelism: Train internal teams on AI deployment best practices and share success stories to elevate the organization’s technical maturity.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Design and architect deployments that seamlessly integrate AI, Process Intelligence, and Automation into complex enterprise IT landscapes.

The preferred qualifications you need:

• Consultative Background: 10+ years experience in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., SaaS Provider, Consultancy, or Enterprise Center of Excellence) with a focus on delivering business value through data.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical thinking skills, with a track record of mapping unstructured business pain points to specific technical AI solutions.
• Communication: Ability to translate complex architectural concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and executives.
• Core Development: Strong proficiency in Python for data science and production engineering (Experience with Pandas, NumPy, or similar libraries).
• AI/ML Proficiency: Proven experience developing and deploying AI solutions for enterprises. Must have a portfolio showcasing successful use cases in either predictive ML or Generative AI (LLMs).
• Architecture & Scale: A strong visionary mindset with the ability to design scalable, extensible, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Production Standards: Experience with production-level acceptance testing, CI/CD, and delivering end-to-end solutions that are robust and secure.
