🙌 The Role

As a Primary Years Program Specialist – Math & Science,you are responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and alignment of Boundless Math and Science instruction for students aged 6–12 across all locations. This role focuses on program development, educator training, instructional coaching, and academic quality assurance within these two core subjects. The specialist works closely with Education Center Directors (ECDs), classroom educators, and the broader program team to create a rigorous, inquiry-driven place-based learning experience that reflects Boundless values and global relevance.

Important note: This is a remote role, as such you are required to visit each destination once a quarter to work with educators (ideally 2-3 sites combined in one trip)

You will be responsible for:

Program Leadership, Design & Quality Control

  • Lead the design and development of Math and Science programs for Primary Years, ensuring it is inquiry-driven, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with Boundless learner outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Math and Science across destinations, with strong progression in numeracy, problem-solving, and scientific thinking.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Instruction team and Program Specialists to align time, resources, and strategy for high-quality program work.
  • Draft academic policies, create clear instructional guidelines, and support educators in confident, consistent delivery.
  • Co-design Boundless signature experiences (Boundless Time, Boundless Junior Forum, Endeavour Time) to reflect our pedagogical vision and global competencies.
  • Ensure Growth Trackers meet high standards, are reviewed each cohort, and used consistently across age groups.
  • Help build systems that support academic quality, continuity, and local relevance.
  • Regularly update materials based on feedback, outcomes, and observations.
  • Align all content with Boundless values and international Math and Science standards.

Training & Professional Development

  • Design and lead subject-specific training and professional development sessions for Primary Years Math and Science educators.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new Primary teachers, including mid-year hires.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Program & Learning Design and local ECDs to identify educator needs and build training plans that support content mastery and instructional confidence.


Site Visits & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct quarterly site visits to Boundless campuses to observe instruction, support educators, and ensure high-quality learning experiences in primary education (specifically in Math & Science).
  • Provide actionable feedback and follow-up after each visit, including written reports outlining key observations and recommendations.

Hiring & Staff Support

  • Collaborate with the Head of Program & Learning Design on job descriptions for Primary Years educators
  • Partner with ECDs to lead interviews for Primary Years educators.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new staff into the Boundless instructional model, with attention to STEM-specific pedagogy and classroom practices.

Instructional Coaching

  • Serve as an instructional coach for a targeted group of Primary Years teachers
  • Provide regular feedback, model effective teaching strategies, and support differentiated instruction based on student needs.
  • Use the Boundless teacher rubric to guide coaching conversations and measure educator growth over time.

🫶 About you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Math, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Primary Years classrooms with a strong focus on Math and/or Science instruction.
  • Experience in program development, teacher coaching, and professional development in STEM subjects.
  • Deep understanding of inquiry-based, experiential learning models and global competencies in math and science education.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills.
  • Ability to travel monthly to Boundless campuses.
