We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

We are seeking an exceptionally strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented Pricing & Packaging Director to serve as the chief architect of our global monetization strategy and a critical individual contributor within the organization. This highly visible role is responsible for defining, governing, and executing the strategy for how we package, price, and license our entire portfolio of software and services.

This is a senior IC position that requires a high degree of autonomy. You will act as the primary monetization subject matter expert and executive advisor to Business Unit General Managers (GMs) and C-suite leadership. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive significant, quantifiable impact on revenue growth, customer lifetime value (CLV), and competitive positioning through optimized monetization frameworks.

What you’ll do

Executive Strategy & Vision

  • Define and steward the global, multi-year monetization strategy that directly aligns with corporate financial targets, product vision, and overall business unit P&L goals.

  • Serve as the executive advisor and thought leader to senior stakeholders (including GMs and C-level staff) on all matters related to pricing, packaging, and licensing.

  • Establish and enforce global pricing governance, leading the creation of frameworks, processes, and standards to ensure consistency, clarity, and scalability across all business units.

Deep Strategic Analysis & Modeling

  • Lead the design and execution of sophisticated pricing experiments (e.g., value-based research, conjoint analysis, price elasticity modeling) to deeply understand willingness-to-pay and adoption drivers.

  • Independently own the development of complex monetization models, including subscriptions, usage/consumption models, and flexible transaction-based licensing that drives both initial adoption and expansion revenue.

  • Define, track, and present key executive-level pricing KPIs (e.g., deal size, discount rates, revenue realization) to senior leadership, synthesizing performance into actionable strategic adjustments.

Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership

  • Lead and drive major, cross-functional pricing and packaging initiatives from strategic inception through global operational rollout, managing project teams of stakeholders from Product, Sales, and Finance.

  • Partner directly with Product Leadership to integrate monetization decisions seamlessly into the product development lifecycle and ensure packaging reflects delivered customer value.

  • Establish a robust enablement program for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, providing the necessary tools, value messaging, and training to confidently sell and defend our monetization structures.

Market Governance & Operations

  • Maintain a continuous, proactive competitive intelligence program to benchmark pricing, anticipate market shifts, and recommend offensive or defensive strategies.

  • Govern the partnership with BizOps, RevOps, and Finance to ensure the integrity, scalability, and efficiency of all pricing systems, including CPQ, billing, and order management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in pricing strategy, business model innovation, and monetization, with at least 3 years operating in an autonomous, high-impact individual contributor role focused on a high-growth, global B2B technology or SaaS company.

  • Deep expertise in complex B2B monetization models (SaaS subscription, usage/consumption, platform, and professional services).

  • Proven track record of autonomously driving significant, quantifiable business impact through the successful design and rollout of major pricing or packaging changes.

  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling proficiency; able to independently structure complex business problems and synthesize quantitative analysis into clear, defensible executive recommendations.

  • Mastery of influence, negotiation, and executive communication. Must be able to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment among diverse C-level stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or a background in strategic consulting is highly preferred.
